Career Summary
Nadia Roumeliotis is a pediatric intensivist and clinician scientist at CHU Sainte-Justine. Her doctoral work, funded by the Fonds de Recherche Quebec Santé (FRQS) (2017-2020) and the Canadian Critical Care Trials Group (CCCTG) focused on drug error and harm in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
As an early career investigator, she has received CIHR funding for two projects; a prospective multicenter cohort evaluating medication errors and adverse drug events in critical care, and for a Pan-Canadian cohort evaluating the safety of discharge home directly from the PICU . She has also been funded by a young clinician investigator salary award from the Faculty of Medicine of Université de Montréal and start-up funds from the Sainte-Justine Research Centre.
Her scientific work also includes leading a study on the mental health outcomes in youth during the COVID-19 pandemic, within the Pediatric Outcomes Improvement through Coordination of Research Networks (POPCORN) group. Her community engagement includes participation in the ‘Comité délibératif permanent’ of the Institut National d’Excellence en Santé et Services Sociaux (INESSS) in Quebec.
