Our team of medical technologists, all of which are members of the Ordre professionnel des technologistes médicaux du Québec (OPTMQ), administers blood tests and functional tests on hospital patients or those visiting our clinics, as well as on outpatients.


Opening hours and location

We are located on the first floor, Block 2.

  • Monday to Friday
    7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Weekends
    Please note the Test Center is closed for an unknown period on weekends and holidays.

Need a sample at the CHU Sainte-Justine?

  • Appointments for KIDS (0-17 years old) is available to the whole population.
  • Since January of 2022, appointments for ADULTS (18 and older) are reserved for patients followed by a doctor from CHU Sainte-Justine. 
  • If you need a sample on the same day as your next medical visit :
    Simply go to the Test Center before or after your visit, without an appointment, with proof of your appointment with your health care professional.
  • If you come to the CHU Sainte-Justine only for a sample collection and you do not have a medical appointment scheduled here on the same day (this applies if you are under the care of a CHU Sainte-Justine doctor as well as if you are not) :
    Please make an appointment online via the Clic Santé platform.
    An appointment proof will be given to you and it will be required to enter the CHU Sainte-Justine.

Good to know

  • For more information concerning the Test Centre, contact our information desk at 514 345-2141, and select option 1. We are open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Make sure to bring your valid hospital card, valid health insurance card, and the laboratory requisition with you to your appointment.
    Before coming to the CHU Sainte-Justine for your test, also make sure that all essential information is indicated on the requisition (date, doctor’s signature and licence number, and address of the clinic).

Important information

  • Some tests require that you follow special instructions (e.g. fasting) before your appointment to the Test Centre: The list of tests is available here.
  • Upon your arrival, take a number even if you have an appointment.
  • Test results will only be shared with your doctor, as quickly as possible.
