Digestive Exploratory
Digestive Exploratory Laboratory
The Digestive Exploration Laboratory tests patients for gastroesophageal reflux disease and intestinal motility disorders, such as achalasia, esophageal atresia, Hirschsprung’s disease, and anorectal malformations from birth to 18 years of age.
Most tests are conducted on an outpatient basis: PHmetry, impedance, esophageal and anorectal manometry.
The Laboratory provides patients with access to specialized tests, such as esophageal and anorectal high-resolution manometry; antroduodenal and colonic manometry; and barostat (visceral sensitivity testing for functional disorders).
