The Quebec Referral and Treatment Centre for Patients with Inhibitors:
This website is intended for all individuals interested in learning about the care and services that the Centre provides to people with inhibitors across Quebec.
Established in 2000, the Quebec Referral and Treatment Centre for Patients with Inhibitors was created to care for and treat patients who have bleeding disorders and who have developed antibodies to clotting factors. It also provides care and treatment to patients who have no bleeding disorders, yet have developed antibodies to clotting factors. The Centre’s team is composed of a medical director, a medical co-director, a coordinating nurse, physiotherapists, psychologists and a social worker.
The Centre was also designated by the provincial government as the referral centre for administering NiaStase® (activated recombinant factor VII) in situations other than those recommended in the product monograph.
