Adolescence Medicine
The Adolescence Medicine Outpatient Clinic offers, upon appointment and referral, medical consultation services to adolescents aged 12 – 17. The patients’ confidentiality is respected according to the law. A multidisciplinary approach is often used, although consultations with a psychologist or social services are limited due to the restricted number of professionals.
The clinic offers various services, such as the evaluation of various acute or chronic health problems, gynaecological exams and screening for sexual transmitted infections (STI), evaluation of adaptation difficulties, etc. Moreover, specific clinics have been established for the following issues:
- Eating Disorders
- Somatoform Disorders (symptoms without any identified medical problem)
- Sexual assault, physical abuse and negligence
- Health evaluation of young people regarding substance use and abuse
