The CHU Sainte-Justine Neurosurgery Service provides diagnostic, treatment and monitoring services to patients aged 0 – 18 who are affected by a brain tumour, medullary tumour, brain or bone marrow cyst, head trauma or hydrocephaly. We also treat patients suffering from lumbosacral dysraphism, arteriovenous malformations, craniosynostosis as well as those needing a surgical treatment of epilepsy.

The clinic also offers prenatal neurosurgical services, when nervous system lesions are discovered in utero (by ultrasound and/or obstetric IRM).

More than 800 patients visit the service each year for consultation or monitoring. Among them, about 200 - 250 patients are operated each year.
