Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Unit

In November 2004, in connection with the university hospitals’ missions, CHU Sainte-Justine created a Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Unit.

The goal of the unit is to support decision-making processes using a well-defined and transparent approach, based on a strict and thorough methodology.

Health technology assessments (HTA) is an applied and interdisciplinary research field.  HTA considers the clinical, organizational, economic, ethical, legal and social dimensions entailed by the use and dissemination of technologies and health intervention methods.
