Ombudsman - complaints and quality services

Our vision of the complaint process

The CHU Sainte-Justine recognizes that all users and their representatives have the right to openly express their dissatisfaction with the services received or that should have been received without fear of retaliation from any staff member. Users also have the right to learn the corrective measures applied or, if none, to receive an adequate, respectful response, according to their rights.

The CHU has developed a complaint examination process, in accordance with the Act respecting health services and social services.

Any user can file a complaint

The Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services has given the Service Quality and Complaints Commissioner the responsibility of receiving complaints and reports made in the context of  "Loi visant à lutter contre la maltraitance envers les ainés et toute personne majeure en situation de vulnérabilité".  The Service Quality and Complaints Commissioner welcomes any request in this regard.

Any user who has filled a complaint has the right to appeal in the event that they ar not satisfied with the conclusions of a complaint.
