Promoting, supporting and protecting breastfeeding

Improving

When the breastfeeding policy was updated in November 2015, and in accordance with its goal to promote health, CHU Sainte-Justine wishes to provide a welcoming environment that is conducive to exclusive and extended breastfeeding.

This policy involves all CHU teams and concerns all families visiting the establishment.

In an effort to mobilize the clinical teams in the deployment of this policy, several work sessions were planned, based on themes related to teaching and sharing knowledge with families, skin-on-skin, monitoring and indicators, patient experience, protocols and clinical tools, support, training and communications.

Everything is in place to help find the most effective strategies and the most innovative solutions to enforce this policy in our environment.
