CHU Sainte-Justine of tomorrow

Growing Up Healthy is a major organizational project aiming to provide CHU Sainte-Justine with the infrastructures needed to meet the needs of mothers and children in all aspects of its mission.

Over the last year, the work intensified, with the construction of the two new buildings and the modernization of existing spaces. In view of this major change, team consultations and preparations occurred throughout the process.

The CHU Sainte-Justine of tomorrow is well under way, and everything is set for the new spaces to be occupied by the end of 2016!

The Growing Up Healthy project is:

  • An increase of 65% of the current surface area, including a new seven-storey pavilion
  • A new Research Centre, including world-class physical infrastructures
  • A total of 419 beds in single occupancy rooms (10 double occupancy rooms in neonatal intensive care, for twins), including 261 beds in the specialized units’ new building and 158 in the renovated existing building
  • One block of 14 operating rooms, including 11 surgery rooms
  • and much more!
