When the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux announced its plan to adopt a patient-based funding method for Québec’s entire health care network, the CHU Sainte-Justine teams had launched a production cost collection process in various sectors of the organization over the course of the year.
In this respect, all of the clinical and support sectors were met in order to document the process and ensure the compliance of data pertaining to cost per activity.
In the end, the information collected will provide a better understanding of the services’ production costs and make it possible to ensure that the funding proposed by the Ministère will adequately finance the cost of our teams’ activities.
