How to help a child victim of sexual abuse

The disclosure of sexual abuse requires a course of action that will involve the child and their parents. This course of action may evoke fear, stress, fatigue, and frustration, yet it may also provide reassurance and relief as well as some satisfaction. Some of these procedures are necessary whereas others are at the discretion of the parents.
