The Craniofacial Surgery Service staff evaluates and treats children with craniofacial damage. Among other anomalies, the CHU Sainte-Justine Craniofacial Clinic treats cases of craniostenosis, malocclusion, and congenital dysmorphism of the face, as well as trauma to the face and tumours of the craniofacial sphere.

The team is composed of a group of qualified professionals with medical, surgical and dental expertise, as well as others from paramedical disciplines. These professionals work based on an interdisciplinary and coordinated system. The needs of the patients treated help to determine the additional disciplines called upon to cooperate with the team.

The purpose of the Craniofacial Service team is to coordinate the medical care given with a series of adequate evaluations and treatments, based on the patient's medical, psychological, and developmental needs.

Evaluations and treatments are performed in a clinical environment, which enables the patient, his/her family and staff members to interact and discuss long-term treatment plans and options.
