Neonatal Transport

Transporting the newborn

The baby is stabilized prior to departure from the referring hospital centre. This minimizes the need for interventions on the way to the NICU.

The baby is transported in an ambulance by Urgences-Santé, consisting of accredited ambulance attendants and experienced health care professionals in neonatal transport.

Every detail is carefully reviewed. Three health care professionals look after the baby while on the way to the NICU, prepared to address any unexpected event.
