  • Association des médecins microbiologistes-infectiologues du Québec (AMMIQ)
    Le médecin microbiologiste-infectiologue est spécialisé dans le diagnostic clinique et de laboratoire, l’épidémiologie, le traitement et la prévention des maladies infectieuses. La microbiologie-infectiologie s’intéresse notamment à la nature et aux effets des maladies causées par les microorganismes. Elle comprend plusieurs sub-divisions dont la bactériologie, la mycologie, la parasitologie, la virologie, la mycobactériologie, la sérologie et l’infectiologie collective.

    The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) exists to promote the exchange of information among people who have special experience in the field of paediatric infectious diseases. The society promotes research and training in PID. Membership is granted to individuals supported by at least one existing member at the discretion of the Board
  • L’Association pour la microbiologie médicale et infectiologie du Canada (AMMI)
    To fulfill its mission, the Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Disease Canada will: contribute to the health of people at risk of, or affected by infectious diseases, promote, facilitate and support research and education in infectious diseases and medical microbiology, develop guidelines and policies in medical microbiology and for the prevention, diagnosis and management of infectious diseases, facilitate communication among members, communicate with other organizations who have shared interest and facilitate interaction that will advance our mission and encourage excellence in the infectious disease and medical microbiology training of health care professionals through collaborations with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and other relevant organizations.

    The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) represents physicians, scientists and other health care professionals who specialize in infectious diseases. IDSA’s purpose is to improve the health of individuals, communities, and society by promoting excellence in patient care, education, research, public health, and prevention relating to infectious diseases.

    CHICA–Canada is a national, multidisciplinary voluntary association of professionals.     The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) was founded in 1980 to advance the application of the science of healthcare epidemiology.   • International Immunocompromised Host Society (ICHS)
    The ICHS is the premier, international, multi-disciplinary forum for scientific and clinical interchange to improve understanding and management of the immunocompromised host. Our vision statement: "to advance the understanding of the interactions between host defenses and microbial agents in order to improve prevention and management of human disease in patients with compromised immune function."
  • European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID)
    ESCMID is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases by promoting and supporting research, education and training in the infection disciplines. This is achieved by scientific exchange, educational programmes, grants and awards, certification and consultation with professional and government agencies. Through its activities and publications ESCMID fosters professional exchange and stimulates an open and collaborative spirit nourished by the diversity of European culture.
