Surgery Department

The CHU Sainte-Justine Surgery Department includes 33 surgeons from 7 different surgical specialties, including cardiovascular surgery, general paediatric surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, otorhinolaryngology and urology.

With their different skills, the various team members take care of young patients whose health condition requires surgery, from pregnancy onto adolescence. Our Department surgeons enjoy a national and international reputation within their respective field of expertise.

All team members work in synergy with the Anaesthesia, Paediatric and Gynaecology-Obstetrics Departments, in order to provide patients with the best possible care.

The Department’s management team oversees the organisation of the care and services provided through their Surgery-Trauma patient-program, the recruitment of super-specialized surgeons in accordance with patient needs, the training of future surgeons as well as the development of instructional medical material, research and transfer of know-how to other health professionals to preserve the expertise.
